Bahá’u’lláh
This vision is rooted in the teachings of Bahá’u’lláh, the Founder of the Bahá’í Faith. While God is beyond human comprehension, His attributes are reflected in the world around us and through the guidance of His Manifestations. Bahá’ís recognize the Divine as the eternal source of all life, love, and wisdom.
The fundamental principle of the Bahá’í Faith is the unity of the human race. Bahá’u’lláh proclaimed that humanity has matured to a stage where the divisions of race, nation, and religion must give way to collective harmony and justice. Every individual, regardless of race, gender, or background, has an equal role in contributing to the advancement of society.
According to Bahá’í teachings, the purpose of life is twofold:
All religions come from the same Divine Source.
All people are equal, regardless of race, nationality, or gender.
All major religions are part of a divine plan for humanity’s spiritual growth.
Every individual has the right and responsibility to seek truth.
Both genders are like two wings of a bird, essential for progress.
True religion and science must work in harmony.
Inspired by these beliefs, we strive to translate spiritual principles into action. Through personal growth, community-building activities, and social service, efforts are made to contribute to a more just and unified society. Prayer and meditation are essential parts of spiritual life. Individuals pray daily, reflecting on their purpose and drawing closer to God. Families and communities often gather for devotional meetings that are simple yet uplifting. These gatherings involve prayers, sacred writings, and moments of reflection. They are open to people of all backgrounds.
Education is seen as the foundation of a flourishing society. Special classes for children offer moral and spiritual education, helping them develop virtues like kindness, truthfulness, and respect for others. Storytelling, music, art, and service projects are often part of these sessions.
Young people are seen as powerful agents of change. Through the Junior Youth Spiritual Empowerment Program, adolescents aged 12 to 15 participate in discussions, service projects, and creative activities that build their sense of purpose and responsibility. By nurturing their critical thinking and moral decision-making, they learn to become contributors to the well-being of their communities.
Study circles provide a space for people to explore spiritual concepts and reflect on how to apply them in their lives. Using a series of courses called Ruhi Institute materials, participants study topics such as prayer, service, and the nature of the soul. These gatherings are inclusive and encourage meaningful conversations among friends, family, and neighbors.
